Youth Training & Empoyability

The project is designed by SOS Children Villages, the Gambia in partnership with PD Foundation and SOS UK to prepare vulnerable youths for marketable, employable and self-driven enterprises in the areas of Catering and Hotel Management, Sewing and Craftwork, PC/Mobile Repair, Functional Literacy and Social Works.

The training project is targeting one thousand (1000) vulnerable young people in Upper River Region over a period of five years.

YTEP intends to lead the students into the job market by providing with training and a reasonable amount of capital to begin a start-up business enterprise at the end of their studies.

During this period, YTEP will also lead awareness campaign on the importance of Skill education among the youth to the development of the region.
