As part of the IWD 2023, On Thursday the 9th of March 2023, SOS Children’s Villages in The Gambia joined other partners, Child Fund the Gambia, The Child Protection Alliance, UNICEF – The Gambia, and the Government of The Gambia at the National Dialogue – Women’s Voices on IWD 2023 forum: Reflecting on Risk of Sexual Exploitation and Drugs Abuse Amongst Young People in the Context of Digital Space.
Mrs. Fatou Lette-Jallow, Acting Program Development Manager represented SOS Children’s Villages. She was a panelist on the Theme ‘Conversation on social media usage, bullying, and drug abuse amongst adolescent boys and girls. The event was attended by SOS Parents and the Alternative Care Coordinator for Bakoteh.
In this vein, the National Association held a symposium on the theme held at the National Office on the 8th of March 2023. The participants took the opportunity to review the National Association’s Gender Action Plan. The event was attended by the Senior Management Team, SOS Parents, and Young People.
A live webinar was also held and organized by the International Office Region in Dakar, Senegal.
