SOS Children’s Villages in The Gambia through the support of SOS Children’s Villages Finland is currently funding a 4 years project on Youth Employability “Strengthening the Economic & Social Resilience of Vulnerable Youths in The Gambia ” in Lower and Central River Regions of in The Gambia.
The objective of the project is to increase the Social and Economic Resilience of Vulnerable Youths in Lower and Central River Regions of in The Gambia.
One of the main objective of the project is to bridge the Digital Divide by aiding economic development and ensuring equitable access to up to date communication technologies in the 12 Resource Centers in Lower and Central River Regions of The Gambia.
The components of this project includes: Supporting Upper Basic and Senior Secondary Schools, job centers, youth clubs, and community centers to access online Resouces and digital learning tools for out of school and hard to reach youth.
All centers are equipped with 10 computers and 24/7 internet access.
