PAPEV Forum with National Assembly Select Committee on Children, Women and Refugee) and Child Protection Actors

As a key child protection actor SOS Children’s Villages The Gambia joined the National Assembly Select Committee on Children, Women and Refugee) and other Child Protection Actors for a two-day forum to share the findings of the PAPEV report on the Assessment of the Alignment of the Legislative framework on children with an international and regional framework.

The PAPEV Project seeks to support ECOWAS and the governments of The Gambia, Senegal, Mali, Guinea Conakry, Guinea Bissau and Niger to strengthen their Child Protection systems in the sub region and to ensure greater protection of children in these countries.

The objective of the forum was to engage National Assembly Select Committee on Children, Women and Refugee), PAPEV, and other Child Protection Actors to share the findings of the PAPEV report on the Assessment of the Alignment of the Legislative framework on children with an international and regional framework and develop roadmap to support strengthening of Parliamentarians oversight functions to examine government performance on children.
